About Bagels and Fraylox
Bagels and Fraylox Klezmer Band was formed in 1998 when four friends came together to form a band with a twist! Klezmer music, which combines clarinets, saxophone, accordion, and upright bass, is frequently heard at Jewish celebrations, but is music that anyone, of any faith, can enjoy. The six band members, Roger Schultz, clarinet, Lance Pedigo, drums, Andy Petkofsky, bass, Howard Bierenbaum, clarinet & saxophone, David Gussman, accordion, and Jonathan Rathsam, vocals, consider their music to be in the spirit of rock and roll with a very high level of energy. A mixture of songs from 19th century Eastern European to American pop, folk, jazz, and bluegrass, will have you clapping your hands, singing along and possibly dancing in the aisles!
The Zelma G. Riven Wonderful Wednesdays Music Series also features:
Francesca Hurst on July 30
Trio Niche on August 6
Jae Sinnett Trio on August 13
