Tobias Cortez is a native of Como, North Carolina. He holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Roanoke Chowan Community College in Ahoskie, NC, Bachelor of Music degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing from Liberty University. Coming from a musical family, Tobias’s parents and grandparents taught him as a child the basic principles of music. Tobias plays piano, drums, and guitar. Tobias has has performed in various cities and sang for tons of A list celebrities over the past 5 to 7 years. For instance, Tobias has sang in Canada with the North Carolina A&T State University Choir, sang in front of celebrities such as Terrence J, Tank, The Walls Group, Tye Tribbett, Avery Sunshine, on Instagram live with LL Cool J, Affion Crockett, J. White, Eric Bellinger, Avery Wilson, and Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men just to name a few! This opportunity opened countless avenues for him and prepared him for the big stage of American Idol. In 2021-2022 Tobias was a contestant on the legendary, iconic American Idol and out of 100,000 singers who audition, Tobias received a golden ticket, went to Hollywood, and made it to top 59! It has always been Tobias dream to have the opportunity to share with the world his God given talent of singing.
