The IMF has one last mission for Ethan Hunt, and for fans of the long-running Mission: Impossible franchise – should they choose to accept it. After 30 years of vault dropping, plane surfing, skyscraper climbing, helicopter chasing, free soloing, base jumping, and even an exploding fish tank, in M:I – The Final Reckoning, Tom Cruise will lead his band of operatives in a breakneck race to find a rogue agent in search of a powerful AI that could bring the world to its knees. For this final outing, Hannah Waddingham, Katy O’Brian, and Tramell Tillman will support Cruise, who performed such intense stunts, director Christopher McQuarrie was left feeling queasy. Speaking of McQuarrie, this is the writer-director’s fourth M:I film, and with a reported price tag of $400 million, it’s among the most expensive movies ever made. What a perfect way to kick off the summer movie season.
