Sunday Laughs Comedy Show at MoMac Brewing

The lineup of comedians:

First up is…. BRENAE WILLIAMS Kicking things off is the very sharp and ‘quick to the punchline’ Brenae Williams. Let me tell you “she got jokes!” Brenae has been onstage slinging punchlines from the West Coast (Flappers Comedy Club and Comedy Chateau) to the East Coast (Va Beach Funny Bone and Cozzy’s in Newport News). Plus, you may have seen Brenae make her television debut on Season 2 of WTKR’s “Coast Comedy Live” but you can catch her in person at MoMac Brewery in Ptown on Sunday June 22nd!

Then…. JOHN GILBREATH A product of a southwest Georgia trailer park, John’s stand up comedy style is exactly like an incorrectly wired washing machine stuck on the “spin” cycle. John can regularly be spotted onstage at the Va Beach Funny Bone at the Push Comedy Theater and at ANY bar that wants a funny dude to get everyone laughing. John is a retired Navy veteran and he is happy as a clam to finally be FREE to talk about what is truly brewing in his comedic cranium!

THEN….. BOB FEATHERER Bob Featherer first took the stage in 1991 at the Thoroughgood Inn Comedy Club in Va Beach. For the next 20 years, Bob was on the road performing all over North America and along the way he got to perform with Bobcat Goldthwait, Lisa Lampanelli, Wanda Sykes and Roy Wood Jr, among others. Then….Bob took a ten year break from stand up comedy and he will tell you why! NOW Bob is back in the stand up comedy world bringing his experience, punchlines and his unique point-of-view to MoMac Brewery!

THEN…. TRAVIS CARL Travis Carl is a stand up comedian originally from Phoenix, Arizona who now lives on the road telling jokes at any bar, club or restaurant that allows him onstage. His comedy act is smart, sarcastic and sharp! Travis enjoys telling jokes, drinking alcohol and eatin’ burritos! Travis hates tunnel traffic, writing these descriptive “comedy bios” and most everything else in the world. He is most excited that MoMac has lots of beer. (Red Flag!)

Finally….. YOUR HEADLINER….KEVIN WHELAN Closing out this gig is your headliner Kevin Whelan. He first hit the stage 25 years ago at a comedy club in Pittsburgh and he has been full speed ahead since! Combining an edgy delivery with a silly comic lense, Kevin has opened for such trailblazing comics like Dave Chappelle, Kevin James, Greg Giraldo and Maria Bamford. This past April he placed 1st in the World Series of Comedy showcase in Indianapolis and this September he will be competing in the national round in Las Vegas! Kevin is one quirky, smart road dog comic and MoMac is gonna be his office on Sunday June 22nd!
